YWCA Equal Pay Awards

Congratulations to all the award winners at this years Equal Pay Awards 2017.

Gold: Lion
Silver: AECOM
Bronze: Magic Memories
Special Commendation:
Jo Copeland, Simpson Grierson

Enter the YWCA Equal Pay Awards, and be recognised as an equal pay leader.

Join organisations like ANZ, Simpson Grierson, IAG, Westpac, Bell Gully, SKYCITY Entertainment Group, BNZ and even not-for-profits such as Youthtown, who have entered the YWCA Equal Pay Awards in past years and demonstrated their commitment to addressing equal pay.

“This Awards programme isn’t just about recognition and accolades, it’s about promoting change and showcasing the solutions. Past winners of these Awards will tell you there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to addressing equal pay. That’s why thought leadership is part of the solution, as we look to the innovative approach others have taken to close pay gaps and create fairer workplaces for the hardworking women of New Zealand” says Ms Briggs.

The Awards recognise those at every stage of the equal pay journey. Whether you have five or 500 staff members you can prove your commitment to fairness and enter the YWCA Equal Pay Awards.

  1. Do you have policies and procedures in place that reflect your commitment to equal pay?
  2. Do you ensure that females on parental leave receive the same consideration as all other employees?
  3. Have you looked at how you assess pay rates for new hires doing the same job whether female or male?
  4. Are you applying the same criteria when assessing the performance of females and males doing the same job?
  5. Do you take into consideration the impact on pay progression when an employee asks for flexibility in their working conditions?
  6. Has your organisation undertaken a Pay and Equity Review Process ?

If you can answer yes to two or more of these questions, then you are eligible to enter.

Make this your chance to step forward, be recognised and celebrate your success.

Entries are now closed
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 9th November.
