The YWCA is a vibrant, innovative and proactive organisation for all women. The YWCA Auckland focuses on leadership and mentoring programmes. In conjunction with the hostel, the YWCA Auckland runs these community programmes for women:

Future Leaders
The Future Leaders Programme provides mentoring, practical support and skills development to young women who show leadership potential. To join this inspiring programme as a Mentor, click through to read all about our work.

Encore
The YWCA Encore Programme assists women who have had breast cancer surgery regain their mobility, flexibility and self-confidence through gentle exercise and support. Find out more here. For the 8 week programme schedules click here.

Dream It, Do It
this exciting new programme was piloted in 2008, it aims to enhance the careers, goals and aspirations of mothers with mentoring and skills workshops. We'll post updates in 2009.

Young Women's Speaker Series
a series of lunch time lectures featuring motivational female speakers. We launched in October with Astronaut Wendy Lawrence. Next speaker will be in early 2009.
