Facilities

Communal kitchen:
To keep costs to a minimum most residents cook their meals in our large kitchen which is open 23 hours a day. At check-in each person receives a basket which contains a fry pan, saucepan, plates and cutlery – these are loaned to you during your stay at no cost. The kitchen has stoves, gas cookers, microwaves, rice cookers, toasters, sandwich makers and baking dishes.

Dining room:
The hostel dining room opens onto a courtyard where residents can dine al fresco. A barbeque is available for use. There is a television in the dining room.

TV lounge/Games room:
On our new 56" wide screen TV we have SKY Digital which screens all international news, sport and movies. This room also has a piano, snack machines and some gym equipment. A fully equipped gymnasium is located two minutes walk away at the YMCA (at the top of the street).

FREE Internet cafe:
We have six new computers set up with high-speed internet access, and a jack for residents to plug in their own laptop. The entire hostel is also set up for wireless internet, so if your laptop is able to connect to our network you can relax on one of the couches or even outside in our patio area and surf the net.

Car Park:
A very limited amount of secure car parking is available for residents at the rear of our building.

Laundry:
Coin operated washing machines and dryers are available on four of the six floors. On the fifth floor is a tub for hand washing. Ironing boards and irons are located on every floor.

Cleaning:
The kitchen, bathrooms and all communal areas are cleaned daily by professional cleaners. Residents clean their own rooms. All cleaning products and vacuum cleaners are provided for your use free of charge.
